Privacy Policy

MeDay has no servers and no accounts. It reads the data you allow, turns it into a page for each day, and keeps everything on your own device. The developer can't see any of your days.

What MeDay reads

You approve each source separately in Settings. If you don't, that part stays empty and the rest of the app works as usual.

Health

MeDay reads sleep (including sleep stages), steps, workouts, resting heart rate, and time in daylight to show how your body did each day. MeDay doesn't write any data to the Health app.

This data is read and displayed only on your device. It isn't uploaded, isn't synced with iCloud, isn't used for advertising, marketing, or analytics of any kind, and isn't shared with any third party. On a new device, MeDay reads it from the Health app again — it's already there.

Location

MeDay reads your location only while you're using the app, to get the weather where you are from Apple's WeatherKit. Your location isn't stored and isn't used for anything other than weather.

Reminders

MeDay reads only completed reminders and shows them on that day. It doesn't read incomplete reminders or change any reminder.

Music

MeDay reads your listening history to show the albums, playlists, and stations you played each day. It doesn't read your account information or play anything.

WeRead

If you enter your own API Key, MeDay uses it to read your bookshelf, reading time, and highlights. The key is stored in your device's Keychain and marked as "this device only" — it isn't synced with iCloud and never leaves the device. Requests go directly from your device to WeRead, with no server in between.

MeDay isn't affiliated with or a partner of WeRead. You can delete the key in Settings at any time.

Camera and Photos

Photos you take for an entry are stored in the app's own storage. MeDay adds photos to your library only when you choose Save to Photos.

iCloud sync

If you turn on sync, MeDay uses your own private iCloud database to sync between your devices. This service is provided by Apple, the data belongs to your iCloud account, and the developer has no access to it.

What syncs:

• Every entry you log — mood, what you wrote, photos, and places
• Your day-by-day music and reading history. This history exists only in MeDay and can't be recovered from anywhere else

What doesn't sync:

• Health data — it stays on your device and in the Health app, not in iCloud
• Weather, highlights, reading time, and completed reminders — these are read again when you switch devices

You can turn off sync at any time, or clear synced data in Settings.

What MeDay doesn't collect

MeDay contains no third-party SDKs — no tracking, no analytics, no ads, and no crash reporting service that sends data automatically. The app never sends data to the developer on its own, including usage data, device identifiers, or any of your content.

App Store purchases are handled by Apple. The developer receives anonymous sales reports from Apple, which don't include your name, account, or payment information.

Crash diagnostics

If MeDay quits unexpectedly or stops responding, iOS creates a technical report and hands it to MeDay the next time it opens. The report is kept on this device (up to 50 reports; older ones are removed automatically). It contains only the call stack at the moment of the problem, your device model, and the iOS version — none of your entries, photos, or other content.

The report isn't sent to anyone automatically. It leaves your device only if you tap the version number at the bottom of Settings, choose Export, and send it to the developer yourself. If you don't export it, it's deleted along with the app.

Your choices

• You can revoke any permission at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security, and MeDay stops reading that data
• Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on your device
• If you've used iCloud sync, you can choose Reset iCloud Data in the app, or delete MeDay's data in iCloud settings on your iPhone
• You can delete your WeRead key separately in Settings

Children

MeDay isn't directed to children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Significant changes to how data is handled will be announced in the app.
